Mezak confronts the real and the unreal in a monotonous and indifferent rhythm, varying computer-generated images of the basic digital graphic unit, pixels transformed into flickering video footage, and prints a bitmap model of a female scream. Mezak did not randomly choose the female scream, which is emotionally the most shocking, so precisely for that reason, it could be imagined in total contrast to the spiritual purity and meditative calmness of pixelated Rothko-like colored fields, and that they would together constitute a perfect counterbalance. However, if we take a closer look at the motif of the female scream, we will notice that it is composed precisely of a multiplied multitude of pixelated units separately isolated in the screen display.
